This proposed Gaya waste water project, (GWWP) of Improvement of Sewerage
System of Gaya city is being prepared for Tranche – 3 (Project-3) financing.
Loan agreement will be signed at later stage. The project is partly item rate
and partly DBO contract. The DBO contract will be considered for STP, pumping
mains and pumping stations. There are 2 phases of GWWP, in this project the
construction phase of 36 months and other parallel phase of 60 months which
cover operation & maintenance. O & M cost will be funded by the project fund
during project period. After project period O & M cost will be borne by
the GMC (Gaya Municipal Corporation).
The prime objective of this assignment is to scale up existing urban
infrastructure development schemes within a comprehensive, coherent strategic
development framework in order to ensure optimal linkage of urban utilities and
benefit of resources to the citizens of Gaya. This assignment aims to catalyze
the thinking for wastewater management and lead stakeholders for systematic
development of urban infrastructure.
